Do you have experience of working with deaf learners? Have you achieved Signature Level 3 BSL or above?
We are looking for a Communicator to join our Communication Support Unit and support deaf and hard of hearing learners who may be working at differing academic levels and in differing subject areas within an educational environment.
The successful candidate will:
• maintain appropriate documentation associated with students needs
• contribute to the smooth running of the department.
• have level 2 standard or above in literacy and numeracy
• be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
• enjoy working with 16 – 19 year old students and adults
• have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
A Deaf Awareness qualification and a Notetaking qualification would be an advantage.

You will be able to work on your own initiative and to meet challenging deadlines and targets. Whilst an FE background may be an advantage, this is not essential.
